conceptual design

The space is located in the basement of the Savoy Hotel. Hotel guests can access it via the staircase inside the hotel, while external visitors enter via the outdoor terrace. The indoor swimming pool of the hotel is accessed through the wellness area.
The goal of the wellness renovation project was to optimize the space, which in its current state was clumsily formed around two parallel long corridors on two sides of a load-bearing wall. By eliminating one corridor, the useful space for massages and a beauty salon is increased. The sauna area is increased in order to add a Turkish bath to the existing Finnish sauna. In the formation of the new spaces, as well as in the interior, rounded corners are used in order to maximally soften the space and to gain flow in it.
